Delivery Policy
How we deliver Snow Leopard Gin within the United Kingdom, including age-verified delivery, charges and timescales. Last updated 26 August 2026.
This policy applies to orders placed through leopardgins.co.uk. It forms part of our Terms of Sale.
1. Where we deliver
We deliver only to addresses in the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We do not offer international delivery. For clarity, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not included.
We deliver only to a complete residential or business address at which Royal Mail can carry out an in-person age check. We do not deliver to PO boxes or BFPO addresses.
We may decline or cancel an order if the address is outside our delivery area or our carrier cannot provide an age-verified service to it. If payment has already been taken, we will refund it in full.
2. Delivery charges and estimated times
Delivery costs £6 per order, including Royal Mail Age Verification. The delivery charge is shown separately at checkout before you place your order.
We aim to dispatch orders within two working days after acceptance. Orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature and Age Verification. Royal Mail aims to deliver Tracked 24 parcels on the next working day after dispatch, but this is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date. Some remote and island postcodes, and all Northern Ireland postcodes, do not have a published delivery target and may take longer.
For dispatch, our working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England. Royal Mail may deliver on Saturdays and, for some Tracked 24 parcels and postcodes, Sundays.
Delivery estimates begin when we accept and dispatch your order, not when the order is submitted. During launches, peak periods, severe weather or other disruption, delivery may take longer. We will contact you if a material delay affects your order.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise, we will deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made.
3. Age-verified delivery of alcohol
Alcohol may only be purchased and received by a person aged 18 or over. By ordering, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that an adult aged 18 or over will be available to accept delivery.
Royal Mail operates Challenge 25 for its Age Verification service. Royal Mail will ask the recipient for their year of birth. If the recipient appears to be under 25, Royal Mail will also require valid, in-date photographic proof that they are at least 18 before handing over the parcel.
For an age check, Royal Mail accepts:
- a valid, in-date passport; or
- a valid UK or EU photocard driving licence, full or provisional.
Royal Mail does not list PASS cards or other documents as acceptable proof of age for this service. The person making the delivery will enter the recipient's year of birth into their device and take a signature. Royal Mail says it will not photograph the identification, record other information from it or allow delivery staff to access the information after delivery is complete. Further details are available on Royal Mail's Age Verification page.
The carrier may refuse delivery where:
- no person aged 18 or over is present;
- the recipient appears under 25 and cannot show acceptable proof of age;
- the identification appears invalid, altered or does not establish that the recipient is at least 18.
An order containing alcohol will not be left unattended, in a nominated safe place or with a person under 18. Another adult aged 18 or over at the delivery address may accept it. You may also nominate a neighbour aged 18 or over, but that neighbour must complete the same Royal Mail age-verification procedure and show acceptable proof of age if asked.
4. Missed or refused delivery
If nobody eligible is available, Royal Mail will leave a Something for you card. Royal Mail will either make an automatic second delivery attempt on the next working day or hold the parcel at the location shown on the card or in tracking.
Royal Mail redelivery is free. You can arrange it using the card or Royal Mail tracking, although Royal Mail normally requires 48 working hours' notice. You may instead collect the parcel from the Royal Mail Customer Service Point or other eligible collection location shown in the notification. The same age check applies on redelivery or collection. Age and ID parcels cannot be collected from Royal Mail Shops or parcel lockers, and an Age Verification parcel cannot be redirected in-flight to a Post Office. Follow the card or tracking information for the collection and redelivery options available for your parcel.
Royal Mail normally holds an undelivered parcel for 18 calendar days before returning it to us. This period, the available collection location and delivery options are controlled by Royal Mail and may change; follow the latest instructions on the card or tracking page.
If an order is returned to us because no eligible adult accepted it, proof of age was not produced, the address was incorrect, or the parcel was not collected after reasonable notice, we may:
- refund the product price after the parcel has been returned and checked; and
- deduct the original delivery charge and any reasonable, direct return or redelivery costs, to the extent the law permits.
This does not affect your rights where delivery failed because of our breach or the carrier's handling of the parcel.
5. Tracking and delivery instructions
Tracking details will be sent to the email address or telephone number supplied with the order. You are responsible for providing an accurate, complete delivery address and contact information.
Delivery instructions cannot override age-verification requirements. A request to leave the parcel unattended or with a person under 18 will be ignored.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice an address error. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after dispatch.
6. Delays
If delivery is delayed by circumstances outside our reasonable control, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and keep you informed where practicable.
If we miss an agreed delivery deadline that was essential, or we refuse to deliver, you may have the right to end the contract immediately. In other cases, you may set an appropriate further deadline; if we do not meet it, you may end the contract and receive a refund for products not delivered.
7. Damaged, missing or incorrect deliveries
Please inspect the parcel as soon as reasonably possible. If it is visibly damaged, you may refuse it. Otherwise, contact us promptly at enquiries@leopardgins.co.uk with:
- your name and order number;
- a description of the issue; and
- photographs of the outer packaging, shipping label, internal packaging and product, where reasonably possible.
Photographs help us investigate with the carrier, but they do not replace or limit your legal rights. Keep the product and packaging until we tell you whether they are needed for inspection or return.
If tracking shows delivery but you have not received the parcel, check with other adult members of your household and contact us promptly. We remain responsible until the products are delivered into the physical possession of you or a person you nominate, subject to the exception for a carrier independently arranged by you.
